The Challenges
Introducing the BMW E36 Compact Rally Car by ARM Motorsport. This car was a recent purchase to enable us to get back into regional Rally events whilst ongoing work is carried out on our 1 Series.
The E36 comprises of a 1.6 N45 BMW engine, extensively reworked and running Jenvy Throttle Bodies. After a full recommission by our team and a test day at Perranporth Airfield; we have decided to make further improvements to this brilliant car.
With power delivery being a big issue, we decided to develop a 320si engine with plans to fit S65 throttle bodies. Not only do we expect to see a large increase in power using this touring car derived engine; but also a massive improvement in power delivery.
